This lace slip is pretty much a copy of a nylon lace slip I bought in 1982 in a Dublin market. I assumed from the fabric and styling that it had been made in the 1960's. I wore it until it fell apart. Most of my favourite items are versatile, I wore this day and night, under clothes and on it's own. Jean Paul Gaultier had barely time to pronounce that under wear could be worn as outer wear and I was doing just that!
The lace chosen for this slip is from the French company Soltiss, it is fine and soft with the deepest scollop which is gorgeous and requires little detail in the garment design. Just carefully position the pattern pieces and let the lace do all the work.
